In this "time between worlds," where the urgency to act constantly nips at our heels, it's important to give ourselves opportunities to catch our breath. Without these pauses, we won't be able to go the distance. It's lovely to hear how you did this—it encourages the rest of us to do the same.
This piece really resonated with me! Thank you for putting it in words. I find myself in the same dilemma working from home. How to get "unstuck" from our selves when we are so digitally integrated and the shifts in contexts (like physically going to and from work) are more blurred. Space and time offered the ritual of moving into one context and out of another. Now that is all entwined. How can we have rituals in ourselves to escape ourselves without the ritual becoming "work".
Such a good question, I notice in myself great difficulty swapping contexts when working from home, perhaps something simple and out of routine could work, I’ll give it a try!
