I'm in the middle of reading your article, but I had to stop to post this great quote from the article:
"I don’t think politics will save us, at least not as it is currently conceived. On the other hand, the avoidance of politics won’t save us either; if we do not understand that the love of power co-arises with the power of love, then the devil will have fallen out of heaven in vain.”
I think an essay devoted to elucidating that one idea, especially if written for an audience of politically engaged readers who don't tend to consider themselves either spiritual or religious - would be a fascinating read. And most worthwhile. FWIW.

Despite deep concerns about the destruction of our planet as an adult human female could never vote for The Greens in rUK or The Scottish Greens . Many women have left both over the last decade in dismay. The party that at one point referred to women as “ non men”.

In Gorton and Denton, Labour voters rejected their own Party in incredible numbers. The Greens are out-competing Labour on inequality and cost of living. But the Greens are also of course trusted on climate and nature: and, ever-increasingly, these are becoming cost of living concerns, and security concerns. The way that the climate crisis hits ordinary working people is through impacts, vulnerability, and price rises: it's all connected. Acting on climate adaptation and on cost of living simultaneously is a winning combination for the Greens.
This is where I hope the Green Party will head. This is what I hope eco-populism can mean...
How large was the Gaza factor? There's analysis here in the States claiming that Harris would have won, were it not for alienating key voters by not standing against the genocide -- one version of that analysis rumored to have been commissioned by the Democratic Party, then buried.

It was definitely a factor, but it’s hard to quantify.
